For me, the highlight of any holiday, actually one of the highlights of life is food and drink. I love to eat out, savor the anticipation of the chosen meal, take my time and appreciate the ambiance of the restaurant. I captured this photo on a hot sunny day in Galicia, Spain, while sipping on a cold white local wine. Unfortunately, I'm gluten intolerant but it does make a pretty picture!

I absorbed the basics of life and painting from my father, James Cassidy. In the late 1970's I spent five years working in a Graphic Design studio in Dublin City. The influence of that discipline can be seen in some of my paintings. I enjoy experimenting with various painting styles and mediums also photography and lately, digital art. I was honored to win a master class when I submitted my painting, The Burren, back in the 1990's with the renowned contemporary Irish artist Robert Ballagh.
