This treeline on the porchfields alongside the Boyne River, Trim, Meath, is used by sheep during Spring and Summer to shelter from inclement weather. The sky was magnificent when I took this shot and it was only afterwards that I spotted the heart shaped cloud centre front! Sums up my love for this place.

I absorbed the basics of life and painting from my father, James Cassidy. In the late 1970's I spent five years working in a Graphic Design studio in Dublin City. The influence of that discipline can be seen in some of my paintings. I enjoy experimenting with various painting styles and mediums also photography and lately, digital art. I was honored to win a master class when I submitted my painting, The Burren, back in the 1990's with the renowned contemporary Irish artist Robert Ballagh.
