We stopped for lunch in a small fishing village called Finisterre, in Galicia, Spain. It was fascinating watching the boats come in, unload their catch under the critical eye of the port inspector and then set off again. It was a busy little port and reminded me that fishing is one of the main industries that add to the economy of Galicia.

I absorbed the basics of life and painting from my father, James Cassidy. In the late 1970's I spent five years working in a Graphic Design studio in Dublin City. The influence of that discipline can be seen in some of my paintings. I enjoy experimenting with various painting styles and mediums also photography and lately, digital art. I was honored to win a master class when I submitted my painting, The Burren, back in the 1990's with the renowned contemporary Irish artist Robert Ballagh.
