Description

This is a digitised version of my oil painting of the Yellow Steeple, Trim, Meath, Ireland. It's history is quite violent with the local congregation massacred in it in the middle ages. The Steeple was part of a monastery and was reputed to have been sacked by a Cromwellian army during the dissolution of the monasteries. I have tried to depict it's history in the red 'bloody' hue of the dramatic sky and elements of the surrounding land.
