This is a watercolor of a ballet dancer, the first of many I hope. Dance has always played a part in my family. I spent ten years dancing myself and my niece is a ballet teacher. My sister runs a dance school and my daughter dances and teaches hip-hop. Four of my great aunts were in the Tiller Girls Dance Troupe back in the later eighteen, early nineteen hundreds.

I absorbed the basics of life and painting from my father, James Cassidy. In the late 1970's I spent five years working in a Graphic Design studio in Dublin City. The influence of that discipline can be seen in some of my paintings. I enjoy experimenting with various painting styles and mediums also photography and lately, digital art. I was honored to win a master class when I submitted my painting, The Burren, back in the 1990's with the renowned contemporary Irish artist Robert Ballagh. I have been involved in community art and education particularly with under represented communities.
