Strolling along the pier in Finisterre, Galicia, Spain, I came across these fishing nets on the pier. I love the color of these nets with the backdrop of Spanish fishing boats bobbing on the water.

I absorbed the basics of life and painting from my father, James Cassidy. In the late 1970's I spent five years working in a Graphic Design studio in Dublin City. The influence of that discipline can be seen in some of my paintings. I enjoy experimenting with various painting styles and mediums also photography and lately, digital art. I was honored to win a master class when I submitted my painting, The Burren, back in the 1990's with the renowned contemporary Irish artist Robert Ballagh.
