While in Santiago De Compostela, Spain, I came across this street, Roa De Tras Salome. There were colorful buckets hanging across the street. I have no idea what they were there for! It's at times like this that I wish I spoke the language. The picture screamed out for a splash colour treatment on black and white.
I absorbed the basics of life and painting from my father, James Cassidy. In the late 1970's I spent five years working in a Graphic Design studio in Dublin City. The influence of that discipline can be seen in some of my paintings. I enjoy experimenting with various painting styles and mediums also photography and lately, digital art.
