This flag is a little tattered but flying proudly, a little like our nation at the moment! The Irish saying is one of many traditional greetings translated from the original Gaelic. It's also something you would expect a hobbit to say. I've an idea that Tolkien took a fair few ideas from the Irish!
I absorbed the basics of life and painting from my father, James Cassidy. In the late 1970's I spent five years working in a Graphic Design studio in Dublin City. The influence of that discipline can be seen in some of my paintings. I enjoy experimenting with various painting styles and mediums also photography and lately, digital art. I was honored to win a master class when I submitted my painting, The Burren, back in the 1990's with the renowned contemporary Irish artist Robert Ballagh.
