The Porchfields follow the run of the River Boyne from Newtown and the ruins of two monasteries and a cathedral to the town of Trim and the The Yellow Steeple. The land is conserved but sheep can graze there during Spring and Summer.

I absorbed the basics of life and painting from my father, James Cassidy. In the late 1970's I spent five years working in a Graphic Design studio in Dublin City. The influence of that discipline can be seen in some of my paintings. I enjoy experimenting with various painting styles and mediums also photography and lately, digital art. I was honored to win a master class when I submitted my painting, The Burren, back in the 1990's with the renowned contemporary Irish artist Robert Ballagh.
