Our town of Trim, Meath, Ireland is a heritage town and tourist spot on the River Boyne. When a building becomes derelict, local artists paint murals which enhance the building and surrounding area.

About Martine Murphy

Martine Murphy

I absorbed the basics of life and painting from my father, James Cassidy. In the late 1970's I spent five years working in a Graphic Design studio in Dublin City. The influence of that discipline can be seen in some of my paintings. I enjoy experimenting with various painting styles and mediums also photography and lately, digital art. I was honored to win a master class when I submitted my painting, The Burren, back in the 1990's with the renowned contemporary Irish artist Robert Ballagh. I have been involved in community art and education particularly with under represented communities. I believe that, like many of the other visual and performance arts, painting and photography transcends race, colour, religion and gender forms of...
