An acrylic painting of a crow with something in it's beak. I have a particular fascination with crows and ravens. They are to be found in the stories of many cultures, are intelligent and appear to remember faces, kindness and cruelty. They are often credited with supernatural powers.
I absorbed the basics of life and painting from my father, James Cassidy. In the late 1970's I spent five years working in a Graphic Design studio in Dublin City. The influence of that discipline can be seen in some of my paintings. I enjoy experimenting with various painting styles and mediums also photography and lately, digital art. I was honored to win a master class when I submitted my painting, The Burren, back in the 1990's with the renowned contemporary Irish artist Robert Ballagh. I have been involved in community art and education particularly with under represented communities.
