While wandering through the hamlet of Oetlingen, Germany, I came across this old workshop with many strange tools hanging from the walls. This is wine country and I imagine some of these tools could be used in the making of vats or barrels.

Martine Murphy

I absorbed the basics of life and painting from my father, James Cassidy. In the late 1970's I spent five years working in a Graphic Design studio in Dublin City. The influence of that discipline can be seen in some of my paintings. I enjoy experimenting with various painting styles and mediums also photography and lately, digital art. I was honored to win a master class when I submitted my painting, The Burren, back in the 1990's with the renowned contemporary Irish artist Robert Ballagh. I have been involved in community art and education particularly with under represented communities.
